WE COMPLY WITH THE LAW

We comply with current national laws, regulations and agreements in all our operations. We ensure appropriate data protection and security. We demand the same from our ecosystem/partners.

We respect each other, do not behave badly towards each other, help our colleagues and each of us is responsible for creating a fair work community and a pleasant working atmosphere. Valuing and helping each other becomes the most important values of our workplace.

Each of us can have a positive impact on the work environment by making responsible decisions in our daily work and by working professionally, openly and honestly. Together, we ensure that working conditions are appropriate and safe for everyone. We make sure that the working conditions do not pose a health risk Working as a supervisor requires equal, inclusive and good and responsible leadership. The supervisor must promote open and constructive discussion by inspiring employees to make development suggestions, address any shortcomings and encourage continuous development by providing equal training opportunities. As an employer, we respect freedom of association and the freedom to organise professionally.

WE OPERATE OPENLY AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRINCIPLES OF FAIR COMPETITION.

We treat all customers, suppliers and other stakeholders equally. We are reasonable in hospitality and business gifts. We do not tolerate bribery or corrupt activity in any of its various forms. Bribery is considered to be offering or receiving any valuable gift, payment or benefit for questionable
gain. Bribery also includes the abuse of powers or positions for private gain. The above principlesmay not be circumvented by third parties either.

We communicate openly, truthfully, and respectfully. We always take care of Finnforel’s goodcorporate image and all communication must be in line with Finnforel’s values. In marketing, we pay attention to the ethics and compliance of marketing. We communicate truthfully and do notuse expressions that mislead consumers. We do not express personal opinions on behalf of the company, and we do not disclose the company’s private and confidential information to anyone outside the company. Any media contacts are always directed to a member of the management team/CEO

WE AVOID CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

We strive for transparent and equal operations in all situations. When selecting Finnforel’s employees and partners or conducting competitive tendering for products and services, it must be taken into account that the situation does not cause a conflict of interest. Relatives, friends or acquaintances of the companies they represent are not hired or contracts are made on the basis of personal relationships with Finnforel’s personnel, but always on the basis of competence, overall economy and professionalism. If a conflict of interest arises, the employee in question may not be involved in deciding on the selection or competitive tendering of the employee or partner.

WE RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND MINIMIZE ADVERSE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS.

We are committed to continuously improving our products and operations to reduce our environmental impact and optimize resource consumption. We make choices that support the introduction and development of environmentally friendly technology. We take environmental issues into account in all material choices and procurement, and strive for easy recyclability, guidance and waste reduction throughout the value chain. We pay attention to emissions and other environmental impacts caused by transportation and travel by planning transports carefully together with our partners and avoiding unnecessary flights by optimizing route choices also in business travel.

REPORTING CONCERNS AND VIOLATIONS

If you encounter behavior that violates Finnforel’s values or ethical guidelines, or situations that are in conflict with these guidelines, you can primarily contact your supervisor or another reliable party. Reporting is also possible through the First Whistle service, which can be found on our website.

The First Whistle notification channel is secure and confidential. To ensure confidentiality, the channel is maintained by an external partner. Reports are made encrypted and protected with passwords. The whistleblower cannot be identified if they wish to submit the report anonymously. All reports are handled confidentially. Information on the identity of the whistleblower is confidential information also in the further processing of the report. A report can be made if, at the time of reporting, the whistleblower has reasonable grounds to believe that the information about the violation is true.

  1. Information about a violation falls within the scope of the Whistleblower Protection Act.
  2. The whistleblower reports any misconduct observed in the course of their work.
