NORA HORTLING HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS CEO OF FINNFOREL OY

MSc (Econ) Nora Hortling (38) has been appointed as the CEO of Finnforel Oy starting from 3.2.2025. In her prior career, she has worked in the retail and foodservice sector and is currently also chairing the board of the Finnish brewery company, Olvi plc.

“Our entire Finnforel team warmly welcomes Nora to lead our rapidly growing business operations. During 2024, we brought the world’s first full-scale Finnforel gigafactory to full production in Varkaus, Finland. Now, the entire Finnforel group is transitioning to the next growth phase. We are confident that Nora’s knowledge and energy will accelerate the fast international scale-up of our concept. We believe that our end-to-end concept—from genetics to branded, fully sustainable, ultra-fresh fish products—will soon be available on many continents. Together, we are feeding the planet and saving the seas,” says Pekka A. Viljakainen, the founder of Finnforel.
